Is Blockchain the ultimate governing tool for neighborhood cooperatives? Or for local governments that seek new ways to increase service for their citizens in a ever more complex society? Or is it the devil in disguise and do we diminish the legislative securities that national contract law or municipal law provides? To name just one possible downside… A workshop, or better a joint discussion, on how blockchain functions, how different coops and municipalities use blockchain and what we can do with it. A joint search into the value and tricks of blockchain in our urban work. With Martijn de Waal (faculty Digital Media & Creative Industries, HvA), Minouche Besters (STIPO) and Inte Gloerich (Institute of Network Cultures).
